TEEN LEADERSHIP PROGRAMS

THE BOB MALKIN YOUNG AMBASSADOR AND
LEVENSON EXCHANGE AND ADVOCACY PROGRAM 

 

The Bob Malkin Young Ambassadors and Levenson Exchange and Advocacy Program is a two-year exchange program between Young Ambassadors (YAs) from Sarasota-Manatee and Tel Mond, our sister city in Israel. Students selected to participate in this highly subsidized program will develop unbreakable bonds, learn about each other’s cultures and learn how to be young ambassadors in their respective communities.

 

 

MULTI-YEAR PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

  • Explore Israel with a delegation of your peers
  • Experience mifgash (visits with Israeli peers) and home stays with families in Tel Mond, Israel (Sarasota's Sister City)
  • Host Tel Mond teens during their exchange in Sarasota-Manatee
  • Participate in leadership and pre-mission trainings
  • Heavily subsidized, all-inclusive multi-year program

 

WHO CAN APPLY?

Applications will be accepted every other year. Jewish students in grade 10, who have resided in Sarasota or Manatee county for at least one year are eligible to apply. Please see the "IMPORTANT DATES" module in the sidebar for up-to-date information, including application deadlines.

Please read the applications guidelines document (click on image at right) prior to applying. When the application window opens, click the APPLY button to begin the application process. 

 

*No student will be denied this opportunity due to a lack of financial resources. Such situations will be addressed by the Federation’s Financial Hardship Committee.
