An eclectic range of subjects have been selected to pique your interest and imagination. We invite you to savor a stimulating adult educational experience that highlights Jewish culture, values, history, and more.

Held on Wednesdays between December 6, 2023 – March 20, 2024 in the Fran Mann Memorial Library (also available on ZOOM), and sponsored by the Jewish Federation of Sarasota-Manatee.

Rabbi Michael Eisenstat Class One – January 24 Reconsidering the Issue of Capital Punishment Discussing the balance between “Cruel and Unusual Punishment”, and violent crime that threatens to destroy the concepts of a stable society.

Creator of the Rabbi Michael B. Eisenstat Miniversity of Judaism, Rabbi Eisenstat has served the Jewish community as an Air Force Chaplain during the Vietnam War and as a rabbi in Huntsville, Coral Gables, and Longboat Key. He is honored by Temple Beth Israel with the title Rabbi Emeritus. A member of the Rabbinic Cabinet of UJA, he participated as a volunteer on an army base through the Volunteers for Israel program.
