On April 14 The Ora was the site of Impact Theatre III. This community-wide educational initiative fosters unity, human rights, and peace by shining a light on the common history of oppression of both African-American and Jewish peoples. Students engaged with each other and with local Holocaust Survivors and African-American elders who shared their personal stories of survival through courage, inner strength, resilience, and hope. The interpretation of their stories was presented by the students live, infused with musical performances by the Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe.
