A great delegation of lay leaders travelled to Tallahassee to join members from seven Federations and thirty-one Jewish organizations from across the state. We met with our elected officials, shared the issues at the top of our agenda to include a new bill to continue security funding, prevent doxxing, and support the bill aimed to amend existing laws on entities that boycott Israel.
We thanked them for their tremendous support of our Jewish community in Sarasota-Manatee and especially the financial support we have received for our campus and many projects and programs. We extended our deep appreciation.
The Sarasota-Manatee delegation was the largest west coast delegation and joined only by Tampa. We personally shared an Israel-US flag pin, a yellow ribbon pin, and a dog-tag calling for the release of the hostages with each of our elected officials.
