Life & Legacy Partner Y3 Banner Header.gif
$1 Billion Milestone!

We are grateful that over 17,000 North American donors have committed over $1 billion in legacy gifts through our collaboration with the Harold Grinspoon Foundation’s LIFE & LEGACY initiative. Locally through this endowment building effort of 507 donors have already committed a legacy gift to eleven partnering organizations that have shaped their lives. This is just the beginning of a community-wide effort to ensure a vibrant Jewish future in Sarasota-Manatee.Please join us!

LIFE & LEGACY®

WHAT IS LIFE & LEGACY?

LIFE & LEGACY is a four–year partnership program of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation that assists communities across North America, through partnerships with Jewish Federations and Foundations, to promote after-lifetime giving to benefit local Jewish day schools, synagogues, social service organizations and other Jewish entities. Through training, support and monetary incentives LIFE & LEGACY motivates Jewish organizations to secure legacy gifts, steward donors and integrate legacy giving into the philanthropic culture of the Jewish community.

WHY PARTICIPATE?

In one way or another, your life is rooted in experiences connecting you to the Jewish community. Chances are you already support Jewish charitable organizations in Sarasota and Manatee counties, but have you included these organizations in your will or estate plan? By leaving a legacy, you can assure that the traditions and institutions that mean so much to you today will thrive in future generations.

By making a legacy commitment you can:

  • Convey your commitment to being Jewish

  • Express value instilled in you by your parents and grandparents

  • Perpetuate the Jewish traditions you cherish

  • Preserve the programs and organizations that support Jewish life in Sarasota-Manatee

HOW DO I PARTICIPATE?

All of us, regardless of age, wealth or affiliation, have the ability to leave a legacy. Your legacy gift of any size can be customized and structured to fit your dreams, lifestyle, family and financial needs. You can provide support for a particular organization or area of interest.  Leaving a legacy is simple. Some options include:

  • Gift in a will (bequest)
  • Gift of life insurance
  • Gift of IRA or retirement assets
  • Gift of cash or appreciated stock
  • Charitable Gift Annuity
  • Charitable Remainder Trust

To become a donor within the LIFE & LEGACY program all it is needed is to complete our LETTER OF INTENT form. This is your promise of a legacy gift to one or more local LIFE & LEGACY partners.

PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS

These Jewish organizations have made a commitment to work together to support the future of our community. Talk to any of them to learn more about ways you can support their programs and services for generations to come.

EACH ONE REACH ONE

EORO_LOGO_1.png

WE NEED YOU! YES, YOU!

Tell a Friend about your legacy gift and encourage him/her to join you in securing the future of our Jewish community!

The Each One Reach One campaign has been created to inspire YOU, a legacy donor to reach out to at least one other potential legacy donor and magnify your impact!

By telling your story to a friend or anyone in your circle of relationships to invite that person to join you in making a legacy gift, you will provide organizations we all care about the financial security to continue into the next generation and beyond.

When each one of our legacy donors reaches one more person, everyone wins!
