One Day, One Community, One Mission

May 9, 2022

This year marked another tremendous day for The Jewish Federation of Sarasota—Manatee. From April 26 to 27,  we took part in a 24 hour community philanthropy event—The Giving Challenge 2022. Presented by The Community Foundation of Sarasota County, The Federation raised almost $46,000 from 265 donors including matching dollars from The Patterson Foundation. The energy of that day is overwhelming, especially, as April marks the typical end of our season here in Sarasota when we have to say goodbye to so many of our supporters for the summer months. Instead of a typical farewell, we had the chance to say “Thank You” once again for all they make possible for our Federation.

The dollars raised during The Giving Challenge support our ongoing commitment to build a strong community and better life for Jews at home,

in Israel and throughout the world.  Whether that means celebrating Yom Ha’Atzmaut at The Bay, building The Larry and Mary Greenspon Family Campus for Jewish Life, or providing supplies and transportation for Ukrainian Jews, our Federation is working every day with local, national, and international leaders to guarantee the vibrancy of our Jewish community. Your support helps our work blossom and grow to impact our region.
