So here we are at one the craziest times of the year for all of us parents and commuters…back to school time! As much as I would love my two 16 year olds to be at the house perpetually reminding me that I know nothing and they “already know that” I’ll be happy to turn them over to their teachers and coaches for the school year But let’s talk quick about what we should all know about this time of year as our community’s kids get back into the academic swing of things.
1. Watch for buses and crossing guards! Always stop for a bus picking up or dropping kids and give our crossing guards some room to work!
2. Schools Zones are back in full swing which means more enforcement and longer hours on the speed cameras.
3. Just slow down and give yourself extra time. Bus lines, stressed kids, other parents…all the things. It will all take a little longer for the first week or so!
Be safe, slow down and enjoy the little ones heading back to class for 2026!
